Hijacked for Propaganda

I write to protest use of the CAUT Bulletin as conduit for the delivery of a completely one-sided anti-Israel screed, "Palestinian Education in Disarray," (Commentary, Bulletin, May 2002).

Readers will not be enlightened by outrageous propaganda, "The Palestinians have been painstakingly pursuing the project of nation building with education at its core" unaccompanied by equal time for such trivialities as the Palestinian's consistent and premeditated program of terror bombings, targeting women and children, the Palestinian Authority's well-recognized human rights violations and corruption, victimizing its own people, and the Palestinian Authority's rejection, without a counteroffer, of the Camp David peace offer made by the Israelis.

CAUT may be unaware when it is hijacked to serve propaganda ends that are completely outside of its purview, but to the CAUT members who finance this organization, it is all too clear.
