Members of Brandon University Faculty Association are getting a 9% wage increase over three years after ratifying a collective agreement Nov. 18. Other provisions include the elimination of increment thresholds, an annual one step increase to existing floors and ceilings amounts, a 1% increase in the university's contribution to the pension plan, a phased in employer absorption of the costs of members' extended health and insurance premiums, and increases to overload/sessional stipends and professional development allowances. "BUFA members made significant gains in this contract," says BUFA vice-president Bruce Forrest.
