Marie-Josée Bourget

Marie-Josée Bourget joined CAUT in July as Collective Bargaining Officer, replacing long-serving staff member Christiane Tardif. With a 20-year career as a contract academic staff member at four universities, Marie-Josée also brings trade union and collective bargaining skills from her experience as president and chief negotiator for the part-time teachers' union at Université du Québec en Outaouais. Before UQO, she served as a member of the board of directors of the Association of Part-time Professors at the University of Ottawa. Marie-Josée is bilingual and obtained her undergraduate degree from Laval University.

Judith Cameron

Judith Cameron has joined CAUT as Information Systems Officer. Judith is responsible for redesigning CAUT's records management system and resource centre. Her term will be for two years. Judith, a 20-year veteran of the information technology industry, has held a variety of positions in both information services areas and library and forms management development. She joins CAUT from one of Canada's national government relations firms, where she managed a resource centre for several years. Prior to that, she was manager of information at the Canadian Tourism Commission and worked for six years as the commission's chief librarian. Judith is bilingual and began her business career as head cataloguer with the Department of National Defence after gaining her MLS from the University of British Columbia.

Mariette Pilon

Mariette Pilon, a member of the Quebec Bar since 1975, has been appointed Legal Counsel at CAUT. Mariette is bilingual and holds a master's degree in comparative law from George Washington University Law School. Over the course of her career, she has served as in-house lawyer for the Office and Professional Employees Union, Local 57 (QFL), and in private practice representing employees and unions before various boards and courts in labour law. While practicing law, she was also a lecturer at the Quebec Federation of Labour and presented seminars on various legal topics.
