I see in the February issue of the Bulletin (p. 4) that the University of Victoria is offering a five-day clinic on university dispute resolution. It is designed for deans, directors, chairs and senior administrators.
Darn it! I had just saved up the required $2,995 (for tuition, materials, accommodation, meals and refreshments) only to discover that my presence is not sought.
I am now forced to waste the three grand on books and journals not affordable to our library, upgrade of my Mac (to comply with administrators' latest cyberspace craze), travel to a conference, and wages for research assistance.
