Dr. Diane Huberman-Arnold from the University of Ottawa was presented with the 1998 Sarah Shorten Award at the November Council meeting. Dr. Huberman-Arnold is a member of the Association of Part-Time Professors of the University of Ottawa and a teacher in the department of philosophy. Her efforts and accomplishments on behalf of women and part-timers at Ottawa embody the goals and qualities sought in the recipient of the Sarah Shorten Award. Dr. Huberman-Arnold's work has demonstrated commitment and leadership to the advancement of women both in academe and in the larger community.
