The Association of Nova Scotia University Teachers, a provincial federation representing the faculty associations of Acadia University, the Atlantic School of Theology, Mount Saint Vincent University, the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, Saint Francis Xavier University, the University College of Cape Bre-ton and Université Saint-Anne, was welcomed into CAUT membership at CAUT's April Council meeting. "We are delighted to welcome the Nova Scotia organization as a provincial affiliate," said CAUT president Tom Booth. "ANSUT is a relatively new association, but it has made tremendous inroads with its lobbying efforts on issues of concern to its members. The association will make a valuable addition to CAUT." Faculty associations in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and New Brunswick are represented by provincial federations which hold membership in CAUT.
