CAUT has appointed Janet Creery to the newly-created position of executive assistant — communications and information. Janet has a bachelor degree in fine arts from Concordia University and completed an interactive multimedia program at Algonquin College. Before joining CAUT, she was employed by the Canadian Conference of the Arts as associate coordinator for the International Network for Cultural Diversity. For four years prior to that she was a freelance writer, editor and publisher. In the early 1990s Janet was managing editor for Healthsharing Magazine and Peace Magazine in Toronto. Janet, who is fluently bilingual, will act as web editor as well as provide administrative support to the CAUT Bulletin and the communications department.
